In 1998, I took the bold step to go to the United States to study English. Little did I know that this decision would change my life forever. Studying in the US was an incredible experience. Not only did I improve my English skills, but I was also exposed to a new culture, made new friends, and learned to be independent. I stayed in the US until 2001, and when I returned to my home country, I felt like a different person.

However, my journey didn't end there. A few years later, I was able to move to Canada as an immigrant thanks to my improved English skills. Living in Canada was an incredible experience, and I was grateful for the opportunity to start a new chapter in my life.

Years passed, and I found myself back in my home country, Brazil. I was looking for a job in my field of study, agriculture engineering, when I came across an opportunity with an American company that had operations in Brazil. I was the only applicant who had a good command of English, and I was offered the job. This was a turning point in my life as it opened doors for me and gave me new opportunities.

Today, I find myself in China, teaching and having an amazing experience. Again, my English skills have played a significant role in my success. I am grateful for the opportunities that have come my way because of my ability to speak and understand the language.

In conclusion, studying abroad changed my life in ways that I could never have imagined. The experience not only helped me improve my English skills, but it also exposed me to new cultures, opened doors for me, and gave me new opportunities. I am grateful for my time in the US and Canada, and I am proud of what I have accomplished because of my ability to speak and understand the English language.

I am still here in China as this book is being published, I end up never visiting the Great wall of china yet, but that did not make any difference, I had a wonderful experience….
