500-1-4-Love & Friendship

4 ►Long Conversations – Going on a Blind date

W: Hi, Harold. I haven't seen you in a while. By any chance, are you dating anyone?

M: No, I'm not, Caroline. Why do you ask?

W: My cousin Ginny is single. She would like to meet someone. I told her about you.

She asked if she could meet you.

M: That's a nice surprise, Caroline. I've never been on a blind date. Tell me more about Ginny.

W: People say we look like sisters. We're the same height and share the same features.

M: So far, so good. You're an attractive woman.

W: Thank you, Harold. Ginny is a nurse, and she lives on her own in the city.

M: She sounds like she's very independent. I like that in a woman.

W: Ginny is 23 years old. She enjoys playing sports and watches a lot of movies.

M: We have the same interests. We should have a lot to talk about.

W: Great! Can I tell her that you would like to meet her?

M: Of course. Ask her if I could call her. I think it would be nice to speak over the telephone.

W: That's a good idea. The both of you can discuss where you would like to meet.

M: I'll suggest dinner. Does Ginny like Italian food?

W: She does. She loves having food that she doesn't know how to cook.

M: Thanks for thinking of me, Caroline. I look forward to calling Ginny.
